Sardarni Harbans Kaur Charitable Trust (SHKCT) was established in the year 1978 vide Trust Deed at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India.
The trust is also registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
On the Occasion of the celebration of 100th birth anniversary of Sardar Harbans Singh, husband of late Sardarni Harbans Kaur, in January, 2019, specific steps have been taken to boost up its charitable works in line with the objectives of the trust .
The main objective of the trust is to help the under privileged sections of society for their upliftment.

Founded in 1978
Giani Harbans Singh established the trust in 1978 after the demise of his wife, Sardarni Harbans Kaur from cancer. For long he continued serving humanity with little help he could render to the poor and the underprivileged. After he entered 90's his activities reduced owing to his age. When he completed 100 years, his eldest son Sardar Gursagar Singh Chaudhry revoked the activities of the trust to mark his 100th anniversary. Sardar Harbans Singh left for the heavenly abode on 12 January, 2023 at an age of 102 years at Shimla.
